We collect nothing. Here is the detail anyway.

Black Screen Free has no analytics, no advertising, no cookies, no accounts and no server-side data collection of any kind. Everything you do on this site happens in your browser on your device.

The only thing we store locally is your light or dark theme preference.

Theme preference. A single localStorage entry named “bsf:theme” records whether you chose light or dark mode. It is read only by this site and is never transmitted. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Offline cache. If your browser supports service workers, the pages, stylesheets and scripts you have visited are cached so the tools keep working without a connection. You can clear this at any time through your browser’s site data settings.

Nothing else. No identifiers, no fingerprinting values, no session tokens and no usage history are written to your device.

The DVD screensaver accepts an image upload. That file is read with the browser’s FileReader API and rendered locally to a canvas. It is never sent over the network and is discarded when you close or reload the tab.

The colour image exporter draws your chosen colour onto a canvas in your browser and saves the result through the Blob API. The colour and the generated file never leave your device.

Audio on the white noise tool is synthesised in real time with the Web Audio API. No audio is downloaded or streamed.

Tool pages make no requests to third-party services. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts on first visit; after that they are served from your browser cache or the offline cache. There are no analytics vendors, no advertising networks, no tag managers and no social plugins.

The site is served as static files. Standard server logs at the hosting provider may record an IP address and user agent for operational and security purposes, as they would for any website. We do not build profiles from them and do not combine them with anything else.

The site collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is nothing to sign up for and no data to submit.

Please avoid using the prank tools on someone who might find them distressing, and never on shared, medical or safety-critical equipment.

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request, export or delete on our side. To remove the local theme preference and the offline cache, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.

You can also block storage for this site entirely; every tool will still work, you will simply return to your system theme on each visit.

If a future version of the site ever introduces a feature that changes any of this — for example a third-party integration — this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried.
